Neil has been a builder for the best part of his life, and set up Coates Construction in 2001. In all that time, the business has grown on one thing alone: work solid enough that people pass his number on to their friends and family without a second thought.
Today it's a tight team of three — Neil, Mick and Max — with specialist, long-trusted contractors brought in for the specialist work. Small enough that Neil's on the job himself; experienced enough to take on the whole thing.
There was never a logo, a website or an advert — just the work, and the word of the people he'd done it for. That's a rare way to build a business, and it only works if you're genuinely good and genuinely honest. Two decades on, it's still how Neil runs things.
